Your Pet's Health

At Mailman's Pet Service, we are very in tune to your pet's health. We will let you know of any changes we might see in your pet and notify you immediately in the case of any emergency.

Below you will find a helpful list of foods and medications that may be present in your house and hazardous to your pet.

FOODS


Chocolate (especially dark chocolate)
Coffee grounds, tea, and anything else containing caffeine
Yeast dough
Grapes and raisins
Onions and garlic (fresh and in powder form)
Raw potatoes (especially those with green spots)
Mushrooms (certain species; check for backyard mushrooms as these may harm your dog)
Macadamia nuts
Alcohol
Avocado
Salt
Fatty Foods
Chewing gum, candy, and breath fresheners containing xylitol
Tomatoes and tomato plants are toxic to cats

MEDICATIONS


Many medications intended for people can be hazardous to your pet's health. Never give your pets any medication that is not prescribed by a veterinarian and be sure to keep these medications out of reach:

Aspirin  
Ibuprofen  
Acetaminophen  
Vitamins
Antihistamines
Cold medicines 
Diet pills
Naproxen  
Antidepressants
Prescription drugs
