At MPS, we love animals and assure you that your pets will be safe and well-cared for in our hands. We will even leave you a note telling you how everything went, just so you have piece of mind. In addition, MPS is a member of Pet Sitters International and is insured and bonded, which protects your home and personal possessions.

Mindy Mailman
Owner & Pet Sitter/Dog Walker
Originally from Maine, I moved to Jamaica Plain to seek out new adventures and opportunities. After the loss of my beloved golden retriever Jack, I found myself drawn to the pet service industry. I started taking care of my friends’ pets while they were away on vacations and thought how great it would be if I could turn my new found love into a business. After a few online ads and interviews, I created Mailman’s Pet Service. Established in 2005, we now offer dog walking, playgroups (transporting your dog to the local dog parks for an hour of playing catch, running and wrestling), pet sitting and cat sitting services, seven days a week. My wife Erin left her 9-5 life to work with me and it’s now a family business! We are continuing to grow- but will always remain a small local business in order to provide the more personalized care that JP residents look for.

Erin has been with MPS since the very beginning. After she urged me to start a business , she decided to join as a dog walker.
MaryAnn
Pet Sitter/Dog Walker
After working at a desk job for many years MaryAnn decided to put her job where her heart is - working with dogs instead of databases! MaryAnn adopted a retired Greyhound racer named Cajun seven years ago and that is when her love affair with dogs began. Little did she know that adopting Cajun would bring her into the wonderful world of dogs and their owners. Cajun and MaryAnn hike regularly on the weekends and she seldom goes anywhere without her faithful companion who is a lively and goofy 13 year old going on three. He even comes to work with MaryAnn and loves riding in the car. MaryAnn joined Mailman's Pet Service in January 2011.
